Coaching Opportunities with EMPIREWPF
EMPIREWPF is dedicated to the continual growth and enhancement of the water polo community within Riverside County's Inland Empire region, encompassing parents, players, referees, and coaches. A fundamental aspect of our long-term success strategy lies in recruiting and nurturing top-notch water polo coaches. Our objective is twofold:
To provide the utmost value to our players, we actively seek post-high school, college, and master's level players to join us as assistant coaches. Simultaneously, we maintain consistency by having head coaches with significant coaching experience across club, high school, and college levels. Furthermore, we extend an invitation to parents and coaches from various sporting backgrounds, welcoming them to participate as coaching assistants. Our goal is to mentor them into becoming skilled, effective, and passionate water polo coaches.
EMPIREWPF Partners currently field age group teams for Boys and Girls in the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U categories. For certain teams, they have enough players to form separate A and B teams for tournaments. As we expand, we anticipate having A and B teams for each age group. The Riverside County region has a rich history of exceptional water polo programs, and we eagerly provide community members with the opportunity to continue their involvement in the sport by serving as mentors to our young players.
If you possess prior coaching experience in water polo or are a certified CIF/USA Water Polo/FINA referee, we encourage you to register on our website as a coach. We will get in touch with you to discuss your background and potential involvement with EMPIREWPF.
If you are a former player or a parent with a keen interest in coaching, we welcome your enthusiasm. Please register on our website as a coach, and we will reach out to explore your coaching aspirations.
EMPIREWPF and our partners operate throughout the year. Practices for Splashball, 12U, and 14U teams typically run year-round. During the Winter/Spring Session (January - April), practices are scheduled on weeknights between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM, depending on the age group. There may also be tournaments on weekends between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Most teams conduct two weeknight practices and participate in one tournament per month. In general, coaches can expect a time commitment of two 2-hour practices per week. Additionally, there are monthly tournaments, with four tournaments held during the Winter/Spring Session, typically spanning two days and occasionally taking place out of town.
